Signs You May be Drunk #12 (Forgetting Important Details About your Family)

John Boehner, when asked whether he agrees with those who say that extending unemployment benefits makes the jobless less motivated to find work:

“No, I’ve got real empathy for those who are unemployed…. I’ve got 11 brothers and sisters. I know three of my brothers lost their jobs. I’m not sure whether they have found jobs yet. So I’ve got a lot of empathy for those that are caught in this economic downturn.”

This whole blog is the most ridiculous thing I have read in a long time…and I detest John Boehner and his politics. There is something absolutely distasteful — even sickening — about what this is trying to do.

There are several problems with the Tan Man’s explanation. One: Boehner did not cry when he was holding hostage benefits for millions of Americans who lost their jobs through no fault of their own. His focus was, as usual, on tax benefits for the top 2 percent of the population, or the gigantic benefits for a tiny percentage who now have enormous new benefits in the area of estate taxes. Two: he doesn’t seem to be particularly about some of his 11 siblings who are now unemployed. Three: he should be crying because nearly all of the job losses occurred under the presidency of George W. Bush, the Worst President in American History. Four: perhaps he is crying because he is trying to forget that George W. began his administration with a giant surplus, and turned it into a $3 trillion deficit, which Obama is trying to copewith. Fourth: the Tan Man is well known as a lush, and spends time–when he is not frying his brain in a tanning parlor–bar hopping at night. George W. was a drunkard for 20 years, and the country had to deal with his pickled brain for 8 years. I rest my case… though I could continue.

How can this weeping bit be something new? Or is he just pulling a Beck thing?

The guys obviously a sad drunk who spent a lot of “after hours” time at his dads bar. Not even two months after the mid term election and his image has been totally, and negatively, defined.

John Tower must be rolling over in his grave.
